Santa Fe’s Summer Festivals
There are no shortage of reasons to visit Santa Fe, especially during the summer, but we do think the vibrant summer festivals happening around the city are as good a reason as any. Towards the end of June, the popular Santa Fe Bandstand festival kicks off, which features over 100 free concerts in the Santa Fe plaza, just steps from our centrally located Bed and Breakfast Inn. This year features another promising lineup of artists, including some of New Mexico’s own favorites Hot Honey and Son Como Son, as well as Grammy Award-winning artist Terrance Simien. In July, the music celebrations continue at the 9th annual New Mexico Jazz Festival.
If you’re looking for a little taste of the Southwest during your Santa Fe vacation, then you may want to head down to the Rodeo de Santa Fe, running for its 65th year in the City Different. With PRCA rodeo athletes and entertainment in town, there’s no question that you will enjoy big time rodeo entertainment for all family members, all with the small town Santa Fe flair you’d expect. Kick off this years rodeo with us at the annual parade in beautiful downtown Santa Fe on June 14th at 11:00am. On June 28th, don’t miss your chance to celebrate the diverse LGBT community of Santa Fe at the city’s annual Santa Fe Pride celebration. In true Santa Fe style, the city celebrates gay pride with a series of parties, dances, fundraisers and soirees throughout the city, and also features a parade that will wind its way to the Santa Fe Plaza along the Old Santa Fe Trail. If you’re looking for a way to connect with Santa Fe’s cultural roots, then spend a day at El Rancho de las Golondrinas, which is a living history museum that presents the annual Lavender and Herb Fair, the Santa Fe Wine Festival, and the Viva Mexico Celebration.
