Your Guide to Visiting the Allan Houser Sculpture Garden
What You’ll See
Allan Houser was a renowned artist known for his drawings and paintings, but most notably, his sculpting. He purchased a 50-acre plot of land located just south of Santa Fe, where you can visit some of his most famous works during your trip. The Allan Houser Sculpture Garden features a group of studios and a beautiful outdoor area that you can explore during a tour of the grounds. The outdoor garden displays over 80 of his works ranging from abstract to representational. Among his most notable works are Abstract Orange and his collection of bronze owls. While this is the highlight of this major artistic hub outside of the City Different, you can also tour the collection of studios where you can see a showcase of Houser’s paintings and drawings.
If you want to view exquisite, world-class works from a famous local artist, the Allan Houser Sculpture Garden needs to be on your list of things to do during your trip to Santa Fe.
