Visit Santa Fe Brewing Next Door
There are plenty of great reasons to stay at our Santa Fe Bed and Breakfast, but our convenient location is undoubtedly among the top things our guests look for when booking their getaways. We’re within easy walking distance of the New Mexico State Capitol campus, as well as the Santa Fe Plaza and many of the city’s top galleries, shops, and boutiques. But there’s another thing that makes our location great, and that’s our neighbor! The Brakeroom, one of the locations of Santa Fe Brewing, is our immediate neighbor. Not only is it one of the best breweries in Santa Fe, but it offers our guests a fun place to relax and unwind after a day of exploration.
Santa Fe Brewing is hailed as the “original” brewery in New Mexico. They brewed their first batch of Santa Fe Pale Ale in 1988 and have been one of the top-performing breweries in Santa Fe ever since. Today, Santa Fe Brewing’s primary location is a 13,000-square-foot site on New Mexico’s Turquoise Trail. Their second outpost didn’t come until 2016, but today, Santa Fe Brewing has six different locations, including our neighbor, The Brakeroom. As an added bonus, The Brakeroom location features Bang Bite, one of the best Santa Fe food trucks!
In addition to being a great place to grab a craft brew, Santa Fe Brewing also hosts events throughout the year. They also host a fabulous array of concerts at The Bridge. The Bridge is a multi-faceted event venue that features indoor and outdoor seating. The concerts run throughout the summer until the end of September.

- If you love sour beers, then Rowley Farmhouse Ales is the place to go! It’s one of the newer breweries in Santa Fe, but it’s been earning plenty of recognition at regional beer competitions.
- Second Street Brewery is another staple brewery in town, and it’s also a great place to grab lunch.
- You’ll find more than great beer at the Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery – they also have some fantastic spirits and cocktails! It’s one of our favorite breweries in Santa Fe and is only about ten minutes from downtown. It’s an excellent spot for live music, too.
- Taste something unique at the Chile Line Brewery, one of the most unique breweries in Santa Fe. Here, you’ll find a signature smoky note and other unique-to-Santa Fe flavors, like red and green chiles, infused into your beer.

Craft beer isn’t your scene? Don’t fret! Breweries in Santa Fe aren’t the only great choices for grabbing a drink. If you’re looking for fantastic wineries in Santa Fe, you don’t have to travel far. Most are found just north of the city, but there are some outstanding wine bars and tasting rooms in town, too. One of the top Santa Fe wineries is Gruet Winery, which has a tasting room within easy walking distance of our Santa Fe Bed and Breakfast. - Gruet Winery has a tasting room in downtown Santa Fe and Albuquerque. It is best known for its sparkling wine, but it’s well worth your time to sample a few while you’re here.
- Head just north of Santa Fe, and you’ll find Vivác Winery, another top-rated choice among Santa Fe wineries. Vivác Winery is the highest-rated producer of red wine among all New Mexico wineries.
- While you’re in the area, stop in for a tasting at Black Mesa Winery. The wines made here are produced using only grapes grown in New Mexico. They also serve cider and beer, making it a perfect stop for groups with diverse tastes.
- Don’t miss the opportunity to visit La Chiripada Winery, the oldest winery in New Mexico. They have some fantastic low-intervention wines, and they utilize a process that dates back to the Neolithic period. The result is unique and delicious.

- Arroyo Vino offers so much more than a fantastic dinner menu. They also have one of the best wine lists in town, including plenty of selections from the top wineries in Santa Fe.
- Find some great local wines at La Casa Sena Wine Shop. They’ve curated an excellent wine selection and won Wine Spectator‘s “Best Award of Excellence.”
