About Gruet Winery
Gruet Winery has been family owned and run since its founding in 1984. With its vineyard located in Albuquerque and successful tasting room in Santa Fe, the Gruet name has become synonymous with the best sparkling wine in the area. The members of the Gruet family were once well-established winemakers in France before deciding to relocate to New Mexico for a new grape growing challenge. Now, they have been running a successful vineyard for more than 30 years.

What Will I Find?
The Gruet Winery Santa Fe Tasting Room is absolutely breathtaking. Located in a historic hotel, its simplicity is instantly calming. Sit at one of the small tables for an intimate tasting with your sweetheart or opt for the energetic bar. You also have the option of sitting outside in the garden when the weather is nice!
What Should I Order?
The bartenders at this tasting room are experts on wine. If you tell them what you prefer, they can always point you in the right direction. If you want to try a variety, we recommend the Sparkling Wines Tasting and the Still Wines Tasting. Each gives you a variety of samples. Then, you can choose your favorite to enjoy a glass of after.
The Wines
New Mexico’s dry soil, high elevations, and fluctuating temperatures make it the perfect place to grow grapes. All Gruet Winery wines are based on the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varieties; most are sparkling although they do have some still options. We recommend indulging in their Champagnes since they are the main focus! These vinters have specialized in sparkling wines throughout the years by perfecting the usage of Methode Champenoise.
